Hi - yep. John Butler's one of the better artists in the blues/roots genre currently working around. IMHO he's up there with guys like Ben Harper, Jack Johnson etc. Has actually just won the APRA song of the year award here in Australia which is pretty good for someone without commercial backing. More power/money to him though I suppose - he's doing pretty well. While you're at it check out Jeff Lang who is another Australian doing the blues/roots thing and an absolute monster guitarist. I think both of these guys spend a bit of time in the US but not sure how extensive their touring is.

Cool

Chris

Thanks for the info...
I'm lucky to be going to Australia for the month of July, so my son recommended I get tickets for this. I'm gonna check it out while I'm over there. He's at the Enmore Theater in Sydney. (Wish I could have gone over when RF was touring there.......but it's cheaper to go in July when it's winter over there.

Two more blues players from Down Under, I recently saw Geoff Achison and Anne McCue. Both shows were great Exclamation
