I just got The Jazz Theory Book by Mark Levine based on a recommendation from here I think. It is an amazing book. For me, tho, I would love it to contain tab.

Kirk95: Which book or books comes closest to the Levine book but with tablature?

Thanks
Roger

Mark Levine is keyboard player... so that's probably why there is not tab.

The Levine book covers all the concepts of modern jazz improvization. I wish I would have had that book back when I was shedding 4 hours a day every day. The information was available back then, but not all in one place like the Levine book!

It's a killer book! Learn to read... it's good for you! Very Happy
