Noting that group members are all over the world, where are the good radio blues programs that can be streamed over the internet? From here in Southern California among the best are Doug MacLeod's "Nothin' but the Blues," Saturdays and Sundays 2-7 p.m. at www.kkjz.org (or www.jazzandblues.org); The "Blues Shack" with Jimmy Mac Sundays 1-4 p.m. at www.kclu.org; and "Bluesland" with Leo Shumaker Mondays 2-4 p.m. at www.kcsb.org. It's great the way the web makes even the dinkiest college radio station a world-wide power. _________________ - BlueRunner

I listen to two very good radio shows that are streamed through the internet from WMNF in Tampa. The Blues Lovers Edition is every Tuesday from 2-4 pm (EST) on http://www.wmnf.org You can see past playlists online and request songs online. I even heard a song from Chris Cain's brand new cd on this show last Tuesday. I've been bugging DJ Larry Lisk to play Robben's new one, but he doesn't have it yet !
The other show i listen to regularly is not all blues.... but features "rare" live concert recordings. This show is so amazing i get up at 4 a.m. on Fridays to listen ! You've gotta check out Dennis Stone's playlists. He's got an amazing collection! His show is 4-6 am (EST) on Fridays.
I'd love to find out what internet radio others are listening to (especially ones that broadcast rare live recordings)... please include time zone information. Thanks.
I get a 24/7 Blues station on my digital cable. The music service is called Music Choice. I have an optical feed from the cable box to my receiver and the quality is excellent.
