...it was MY pleasure! What a team we make...nearly instant gratification! I shot those photos just before 6 PM; just after 9:30 PM they are on the site... WOW! I love computers, digital cameras, and great blues!

Great photos, I took some in Schaumburg, but only a few are good, and they're kinda far back. I need a better digital camera........... |

|

Kohar, as a newbie, this presents a perfect opportunity for me to restate Robben's policies on photo taking.
Robben doesn't mind the taking of photographs (and will often pose with fans AFTER the show). However, he does not like or appreciate FLASH photos ( they can be both blinding and distracting as he tries to perform).
He also will not tolerate people standing right in front of him and firing off photo after photo. In those cases, he definitely WILL stop what he is doing and tell you that he thinks you've taken more than enough photos for everyone.
And although many 'dedicated' fans choose to ignore this, obviously because they do not SINCERELY respect or care about Robben's opinion and feelings, he HATES ...and I cannot emphasize this enough... HE ABSOLUTELY HATES unauthorized video and/or audio recording of ANY kind!!! _________________ B C-ing U!

Well said, Daved, although one would think a "dedicated" fan would be a bit more sensitive. Robben has always been more than gracious with permitting photos, even laughing at the fact that some of us don't know how to operate our cameras! (...but are thrilled at the opportunity to stand next to him or his amplifier!)
At Robben's first clinic, I asked Alexander Dumble if I could have permission to photograph the famous Dumble amp. His initial response was that he would prefer I did not; he actually sought me out to tell me that I could, and then HE snapped the picture of me hugging it. It was lovely. I smiled so much on the drive back to the Bay Area, my face hurt by the time I arrived.
SFBF/Tom Mazzolini (spelling?) must do their homework, as they situate the stage so the performers' backs are to the sun, hence no flash needed, and it is we who are blinded by the light (and musical brilliance!) I'm not sure what they have to do to arrange perfect weather, but they must know people in very high places! We missed seeing you there.
It is soooooooooo good to have you here; we are honored.
(Okay, so some of us are jumping up and down, cheering!) I need to develop more enthusiasm, huh?
love, elizabeth _________________ www.elizabethgage.com |

Yikes
Well, at the start of the concert, they announced no photos. But at the end, when he came out for one last song, everyone started taking them, so I did too........but I didn't use a flash, I turned it off, and used moon setting on my digital camera. Didn't want to offend..........that's probably why they are so blurry......camera shake!!! I wouldn't want to offend!!!
I'm an artist, and hoped I might do some paintings from these..........
or play with them in my photoshop class! Sending them ..... ( the ones that are halfway good.... |

Kohar,
"No Photos" was the venue policy.
"Photos, within reason, but no flash" is Robben's policy.
I, too, noticed the flashes near the end, but most came from the back and only during the end of the show.
Thanx for using "night settings". Robben really DOES appreciate the consideration. _________________ B C-ing U!
