Carl and his band, Bernie Dressel on drums (best known for his work with The Brian Setzer Orchestra and Band) and Cliff Hugo on bass (fellow Supertramp member, Melissa Manchester, Ray Charles) will be making a rare Bay Area appearance at SWEETWATER in Marin the week of October 18th. The exact day is still in question but most likely it will be the Tuesday the 19th or Wednesday the 20th.
Please give them a call at 415-388-2820 to reserve tickets early - SWEETWATER only holds about 150 and this will be an evening of great music with one of the most amazing bands and guitarists you're ever likely to hear. A splendid time is guaranteed for all! _________________ iamthewalrus

It's official - WED Oct 20, Carl and the band will be at Sweetwater in Mill Valley. This is a rare opportunity to see this fantastic band live and in an intimate venue (150 seats).
This will be Carl's ONLY Bay Area appearance this go round!

The John Hanes Trio will be opening for Carl Verheyen.
John (drums) and his brother Hillary (bass) were AKA the "Stench Brothers" and played with Pearl Harbor and the Explosions, Chrome, Engorged With Blood (considered by many the best rock band of all time), Henry Kaiser and others. John's guitarist, Steve Kirk, is a long time member of The Clubfoot Orchestra which (?) morphed into Orchestra Nostalgico; Steve also performs with his own bands A is A and Steve Kirk Pop. Steve was nominated for a Grammy last year for his Voodoo Vince score (3 hours of music!).
The music they play confounds description. The jam band love child of Ennio Morricone and Joni Mitchell.
