Any body seen or heard of Gigliotti Guitars. They are the most unique looking guitars I have ever seen. They have brushed metal tops that dazzle when a spot light hits them. Although I'm not a player from what I have heard the sound is amazing too. I beleive Tone Quest has done a review of them not too long ago. I wonder if Robben has ever seen one.

Cool Very, very interesting, at least in two regards:

1. Tacoma, WA is the epicenter for the Guild of American Luthiers, and home to Tacoma Guitars and lots of independents. It would seem that a lot of very cool ideas come out of that part of the country. The persistent rain must moisturize their brains to the point that they can be more creative than the rest of us.

2. Note that all of the headstocks are discreetly covered up in all of the photos, and that they company has a pop-up message that "it has come to our attention that our headstock design might be mistaken for that of one of the mass-builders ..." or some such, and then a note that they're going to change the design soon. From what you can actually see in the photos, my bet is that the problem "came to their attention" when one of Fender's lawyers sent them a firm but polite letter.

It'll be fun to try to track down one of these guitars for a test-ride.

Similar to the Industrial: http://www.industrialguitar.com/dzi_0888.jpg

One of several body types. Nearly anything is possible with his construction methods. Not even three hundred of these made, and most of them are lap steels.

Cool TrueFire has an interesting video on the Gigliotti. Looks like a great thing for a working studio guitarist, even though the average listener wouldn't know the difference between a bridge pickup on a Telecaster and a Telecaster that's IN a pickup that's crossing a bridge.
