If anyone is interested in an excellent condition Fender Ultra Sp Robben Ford signature model guitar, please email me. Only serious inquries splease. No dings/scratches. Case looks great. Original paper work. I'm the first owner. Certificate shows oct 99 and the serial number and the maker (someone with the last name Feal it looks like). Can get pcitures.

The only modification is a minor wiring change, but very cool; can be reversed of cousre, but you may not want to: It has Fralin Unbuckers. The bottom tone knob is a blender pot that allows you to blend the two pickups to the desired level. The bottom volume knob is a master volume (controls both pickups) like a PRS. One of the other knobs (forgot which one) acts as a variable coil tap -- that is, instead of just turning the coil tap toggle switch on or off, you can leave it on and bleed in only a little or all of the other coil. I found this very practical to blend in only half or so of the second coil. When your amp is cranked, that can make a big difference in output. I ended up doing it to other guitars as well.

Could be Greg Fessler.

You could be correct. The first name does look like Greg or Gary. However, the last name defintely looks like Feal unless he just really coincidentally made his signature look like a neatly written Feal.

Greg made most of (or all of) the RF guitars after Gene Baker left Fender, at least until near the end when Dennis Galuzuka starting making them too. I never heard of any Custom Shop builders by the name of Feal.

I have a Greg Fessler RF, and I checked the signature on the back of the headstock. He does make it look like "Feal," but don't you believe it.

It's a Fessler.

They say that some boutique builders breathe new life into their creation when they build a guitar. Trouble is, Greg always has beer on his breath.

Just kidding. Greg is one of the finest woodworkers the Custom Shop has ever seen. I have enjoyed the fruits of his labor for many years. On top of that, he's a really nice guy who will go way out of his way to make you happy.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of his creations.
