kirk95: Thanks for the recommendation. I've been looking for a Coltrane bio. My local library has none (two on Cher LOL). I'm off to B&N at Rock Center to see if I can score this one.

Check out Ashley Kahn's "A Love Supreme," too - about the making of the album. Great stuff and insight into the creative process.

ThinkTwice - go back the library and ask them to borrow this from another library for you (interlibrary loan) - save a few bucks and it tells your library that you are interested in this kind of material. They need this info to build good collections, and since your public library uses your tax dollars you should have as much say about what they spend their money as do the Cher fans!

Telefunnk1:
May have to take that to task. Couldn't find the book at three midtown book stores (I had assumed it was brand new). Saw the other one though. Still empty handed as of today.
