If only. He was at the Vault, right? What sort of venue is it? I get down to Long Beach 5-6 times a year, and usually head straight to The Blue Cafe, but haven't yet been to the Vault. _________________ - BlueRunner

Yep, he was at the Vault 350 in Long Beach. It was a good place to see a show because its not a very big place so most seats are good. It has a big dance floor in front of the large, elevated stage. For B.B.'s show, the put chair out on the dance floor so everyone had a seat. The sound was good, overall, with the exception of a few feedback problems. All of the 8 piece band could be heard clearly. There are also one of the best dressed bands in music - black tuxes for all.
The band opened with a couple of tunes without B.B. Then B.B. walked out on stage with a couple of guys walking with him, just to make sure he made it out okay. He sat down, picked up Lucille and kicked off the band. B.B. interacted with the crowd a lot and they just ate it up. There's no doubt that B.B. was having a great time and loves to do what he's doing.
He mentioned that he's 79 years and just had eye surgery a couple of weeks ago and this was only his second performance since that surgery. He is a BIG boy with a powerful voice that sounded fantastic.
I'm glad I got to see this legend and I'd do it again anytime.
