Just read on Roscoe's site that he is currently working on his first solo album. Its scheduled for Spring 2005 and including Robben, Tom Brechtlein, and many others.
I, for one, can't wait! |

Is Eric Johnson one of the other artists?
I would love to hear the Blue Line reunited for a couple of tracks! _________________ www.hendersounds.com

Whoa, what a list! Instead of Roscoe Beck and the Blue Line, perhaps it should be the Blue Mile... _________________ Soul on Eleven |

Thanks fo reminding me about this. The cd release party for 'Beck and Call' is this Wednesday at Antone's. I'm gonna try and make it and if i do i'll post a report. Have seen the core band twice now as they play occasionally at Central Market here in town. You can't go wrong with such a killer rhythm section!

Saw a couple of tunes at the in-store at Waterloo Records here in austin.
hi-lite was Greg Koch on guitar, he's seems like a real funny guy and he adds alot of humor in his playing. They sounded like they were having a good time. _________________ www.davidducharmejones.com |

I'm looking forward to hearing the cd. I saw Malford Milligan with his band in Kalamazoo last summer -- they were awesome ! What a great voice he has. I went out and bought a few Storyville CDs. I listen to A Piece of your Soul all the time. That CD rocks!
I really like the short clip of "Cotton" (with Robben) & can't wait to hear the whole song! I got to see & meet James Cotton last year and it was a huge treat.
I want the CD now, too _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

I've been listening to Roscoe Beck's wonderful new CD for a couple days. It's all originals -- no covers. It's got lots of great guitar solos.... but,,,, where are the BASS solos ???????
No, seriously, it's a great CD. The vocals by Mike Cross, Maliford Milligan and Ruthie Foster are beautiful. I like what he's done with the two songs that were previously recorded with The Blue Line. Outrage, Cotton & Blues for A New Day are awesome instrumentals! _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

Which threw me for a loop, cause I didn't realize that these were Roscoe's songs. I'm not one to look at credits, so only hearing these on Blue Line albums made me think they were Robben tunes, or covers from other artists not in the Blue Line. I'm now even more impressed with Roscoe's talents!
BTW, great cd. The kind that grows on you because it's so good that you hear more and different things the more you listen. Nice, Roscoe!
