The Fuchs have a linear power supply, unlike the switchers in computers and such. Using an IEC connector doesn't mean you can run any voltage into it. The power transformer would have to have primary taps for different input voltages. You could write to Andy about how feasible this is on a production amp.
One alternative might be to find a mod that was built from something that originally had multiple PT taps. I don't remember if my MusicMan mod has this, and it's buried in storage until I move. After I rescue it, I'll take a look. As part of simplification, it's on the block. Just keeping the factory ODS and the DR I played with. thanks for bringing that up - I should have clarified my comments about the IEC connector... this is where I was coming from:
Which looks pretty darn interesting. Either way, it's worth clarifying with the dealer or with Andy before you commit $$ to the purchase (also not all models may have this or there may be something else going on inside). Failing that (and depending on whether you have a nearby dealer) you should be able to order one through a US dealer and have it built for 220V.
I was actually pleased to see the voltages on this pic at 110/220/240. Many manufacturers wimp out on the 220/240 voltages and build it one way or the other, figuring that 20v one way or the other shouldn't matter. Andy must have some attention to detail to put the time into things like this. Nice work.

You're right. Just looked at the back of mine and it says the same thing. I'm going to have to open it up and see how this works. Maybe call Andy and see how he gets a multivoltage input on a linear power supply. You might have to rewire the IEC to different tranformer primaries depending on where you are. I love the sound from the Fuchs, I found out they just came out with a bunch of new features introduced at NAMM...
New Three-Channel Amps from Fuchs
New models based on the Overdrive Supreme
January 28, 2005
Fuchs Audio Technology introduced a new line of three-channel amps for the 2005 Winter NAMM show.
Available in 50,100 and 150 watt versions, the TDS features, a dedicated chime filled "California Clean Channel" with brite, deep, and rock/jazz switches, as well as mid and gain boosts. It's second and third channels are based on the Overdrive Supreme clean and mean channels.
The amp is controlled by it's 6-way footswitch, which provides the channel switching, as well as independent control of mid and gain boosts for both channels. An extra footswitch jack for the reverb is also available. The amp features 4, 8 and 16 ohm outputs, a full-time all-tube buffered effects loop with series or parallel operation, a spacious Accutronics spring reverb, and fully adjustable input and output levels.
Like the ODS, the Triple Drive features fan cooling, an aircraft grade T-6 aluminum chassis, individual tube bias adjusts and regulated B+ and DC filaments for lowest noise and consistent performance despite line noise or variations.
All new models will begin shipping in April 2005... Can't wait to hear them.
