Britney and Jacko almost live there.
When I am adventurous, I play Rick Astley as well.

Ah yes, when I was in high school, it was a requirement to play guitar that you know both harmony parts for every song on this album. The dual guitar parts on Humble Pie live as well. How I miss two drummers and four guitarists jamming on In Memmory of Elizabeth Reed for two hours straight. |
Junior High after school all I did was take Duane and Dickey licks off that record. I have to say without any knowledge of harmony the Stormy Monday chords were a bitch!!! I literally learned the pentatonic scale from Statesboro Blues.
Ahhhh the good old days!
We still miss you Duane!!!!!! _________________ www.hendersounds.com

Thanks for those nice pics Kirk. I also have sweet memories of my younger days. Listening to Allman Bros at the Filmore East through the night till dawn. With my headphone on (not wake up my parents). Playing the LP on the slowest speed and playing my own first Les Paul, to discover these bendings en positions Duane use to play. It's still a document. My first love for the blues. |

Thanks to Duane, Dickey and Peter, I discovered it was possible to play some notes other than the box pentatonic. First exposure to a diminished scale, Memory of Liz Reed. Yes, we miss you Duane. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

Duke Robillard - Stretchin' Out Live
Litle Feat - Waiting for Columbus (live reissue) - Lowell George using a Dumble
Aretha Franklin - Live at Fillmore West - King Curtis, Bernard Purdie, Cornell Dupree, Jerry Jemmont, Billy P - gawd almighty what a band! Check out the live King Curtis LP from the same shows - seriously scary stuff.
Mike Stern - Give and Take
Santana - Abraxas
Just took out ABB live at the Fillmore, the second CD with Mountain Jam. Learn something new everytine I listen to this (but my kids got kind of tired of it, and of me yelling internittently "listen to this lick!!!" |

Too many to list, but the current list of most played is
Little Charlie and the Nightcats-That's Big
Robben-Keep on Running
Robben-The Authorized Bootleg
Garth-Man on a Mission
Carlton-Sapphire Blue
FBBB-both tribute CDs
Ronnie Earl-I feel like going on
ABB-Live at the Atlanta Pops Fest
There's a few. They rotate in and out but one of Robben's is constant.

Funkadelic - Standing on the the verge of getting it on
Thought I'd tell you, as this album is great, truly great, but has been lost in the purple haze of time. Listen to it, its great.
Anyone know when Robben is touring the UK next? |

Hello--new here and a great forum!
Well..I have a 1990 Mustang GT that I will never part with...original owner, original stereo so I dub all of my CDs onto analog tape...yes, I bootleg what I can't find on cassette...
Talk to Your Daughter
Don Henley-Inside Job, Live - off of the DVD to cassette-nice mix if I do say so myself.
Larry Carlton "greatest hits"...my own compilation.

I don't have a CD player in my car so I use one of those adapters to plug my MD walkman into the cassette deck. Because they're even smaller than tapes, I have a bunch that stay in the car. Lately I've been listening to:
Scott Henderson Live
Free Live
One Way Out (Allman Brothers Band live 2003)
Derek Trucks Band Live at Georgia Theatre
Hendrix (all the 'official' albums from Are You Experienced? to Band Of Gypsys, but Electric Ladyland is probably the one I listen to most)
Coltrane (Coltrane, Ballads, A Love Supreme, Crescent)
Miles (In A Silent Way, Bitches' Brew, Jack Johnson, Live Evil, On The Corner)
Gov't Mule Deja Voodoo
Muddy Waters Chess Best
Little Walter Chess Best
Howlin' Wolf Rocking Chair album & Moanin' In The Moonlight
Roy Buchanan (homemade compilation)
Joe Bonamassa Blues Deluxe and Had To Cry Today |
