I just want to say hello to everyone on the forum. I didn't really become a fan of Robben until after I bought his instructional video several years ago. He's just a great singer and guitarist. I really like to here him play his Telecaster, I love the tone he gets. Is there anybody here from south Texas? I live north of Houston. |

New here also...so you bought that video too huh?...a great approach to blues playing.
I've been listening to him for a couple of decades and just now found this forum. I've recently become a fan of Telecasters myself. I bought one and sold it a long time ago before giving it a real chance...I found a used one sitting in a corner of a music store last weekend and can't put it down. I'm on a mandatory guitar withdrawl...only one new one per year - and my Telecaster Avatar keeps vanishing _________________ I'll be spending way too much time here... |

Thanks Elizabeth....I had resized it and it was there for a time...lost in the cosmos, no doubt. Nice to see a fellow Northern Californian! My father picked 1967 to transfer to San Francisco with me being a high school sophomore (it was an "adventure" we still discuss)
I'm a member of a few guitar forums and am sooooo glad I found this one. Nice work! _________________ I'll be spending way too much time here... |

Well of course I can...
Just email me the the avatar photo..........
Welcome to the board!
You could also try resizing the photo....make it smaller. |
Thank you Captain...I've tried everything from resizing to switching to the back up reactors and she still won't go to warp drive.
I'll email it to you...this forum is a case where too much information is a good thing. _________________ I'll be spending way too much time here... |

garp: Do your best to get out to Ojai, CA, one of these days for one of Robben's periodic clinics. It'll be like actually living in one of his instructional videos, just you and about 20 of your best friends. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Definitely agree on catching one of the clinics. I went in May 2002 and can't wait to go to another someday. I have been a huge Robben fan for many years as well, but living in Dallas we rarely get the opportnuity to see him live. It was an awesome experience to sit and watch him play from 6 feet away albeit without his band. Maybe if we can get enough Texas members we can entice Dal to bring Robben to our neck of the woods. |
