From today's Washington Post "Style" section:

"Yesterday at the Rayburn Building, the National Inventors Hall of Fame announced 14 inductees in its Class of 2005. They include Les Paul, inventor of the solid-body electric guitar, and Leo Sternbach, who developed Valium. Left unanswered was the question: Did the first invention necessitate the second?"

Very Happy

Cool Was recently "surfing" on the web, literally, and ended up on Dick Dale's site. Great photo of him with Les Paul. (And every week the jazz listings for the Iridium in The New Yorker repeat that "Monday nights belong to electric guitar inovator Les Paul.")
