Had socks completely blown off (we're talking nuclear here) last week at SoHO in Santa Barbara by an artist completely new to me, Melissa Ferrick. (Info at www.melissaferrick.com) Very hard to describe in less than about 10,000 words just what it is that she does, but her songs and talk cut through and across gender and orientation like a hot knife through butter to get to stuff that's really really human deep in folks' souls.

I have never heard of ms.ferrick however i wanted to ask you, have you ever heard of chris wiley. i lived in glendale ca. in 1993-1996 and seen her a couple of times and havent heard diddly about her since, i thought maybe you have since you are currently in ca.
