JB - great story about the corn starch! I can just see you up there in a white fog! Too funny...
The politically correct term for impersonator these days is "tribute artist." I was corrected real quick when I started to work for my "Elvis." These guys can be a little sensitive. Fortunately this guy is a great singer and he has had a lot of acting experience so he is very comfortable rolling with the punches of a live gig. It is a lot of fun in a perverse sort of way, I must admit. And, hey, any gig is better (almost) than no gig!
James Burton is one of the all time greats in my book. Check out his website - he is hosting an International Guitar Festival in August (Shreveport, LA). There are not a lot of details yet but Sonny Landreth has this date on his tour calendar, so sounds like it will be worth a road trip.

Wasn't it Johnny Carson who said, "If there any justice in this world, Elvis would be alive and all the impersonaters would be dead!" ? That pretty much says it. Still, I agree that almost any gig is better than no gig at all.
