jconstant: Great review and great pix! I've already sent off my check for the September 10 Clinic, my third in three years. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Very cool pix indeed mr.constant.I was also at the clinic on May 28th. I thought I would have a great review to write....but i suck at writing so let me just say, everything jconstant said earlier applies!! but as for me, I already learned all the stuff Robben taught that day...but what I did learn from Robben was "how to apply it, or how to use it!!!!" he seemed to, with out any effort, explain how to use some of these ideas that eluded me for years. So i started with his triad ideas and started applying them to my playing. The last gig i did my wife (my biggest critic) said she noticed a change in my playing, much smoother phrasing.....that alone is worth ten times the clinic fee alone!!! in short I will definitly attend another clinic again...being from chicago I would have to save up air, hotel, car rental, and clinic fee...before going again but i will....I'm alraedy working on it!!!! ps. sorry for being such a gas bag.

That "first brave one" looks like a guy who got up at the last clinic we were both at. I remember him ripping off a whole tone riff that spun Robben's head around and got a grin. I think he said something like "I just wanted to see if it would work" and Robben said something to the effect that it certainly did. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
