Yes. What's the running rate for a Fuchs ODS combo, preferably with a 220V power supply?

http://www.haarguitars.nl./ have some Fuchs in stock, they can ship to others european countries. Last time I asked, the ODS 50 was 2795 €, the ODS 100 3195 € and the ODS 30 2395 € ( shipping included ). |

2800 Euros (3600$) is not what I would call "affordable".
I was wondering what kind of "affordable" proposals did the people who sell Fuchs Dumbles, at the begining of the thread, have for us?

Scott,
I wasn't referring to you, but to the first poster in this thread whose sole contribution to this board was to advertise a shop and some "affordable" prices for Dumble and Fuchs.
I thought that that was crystal clear. I think that the other posters made ironic comments in that sense as well. I'm sorry if you felt pressurized in any way.
Cool man....you are a pal.

Actually Marin, the poster has no affiliation with Fuchs, myself, or Overland! He was just posting about me.... Or so I hoped... _________________ www.scottlernermusic.com |

Marin,
for what it's worth, I think the power supplies on the Fuchs amps can run at different voltages. From what I've seen in (some) photos, the power input is on an IEC connector and it's labelled for the common international voltages. Probably worth checking with Fuchs or with the dealers though, but means you may be able to buy from the US. Not sure about special pricing though - I think Fuchs have stopped doing direct sales now, but you may at least be able to shop around a bit for a good price. Freight is a different issue though...

Thanks StratCat,
This is usefull information. I do however know a guy who could substitute the power supply in an amp, but I'd rather have a 100% stock amp.
I have to admit that I was looking for a good amp and then, while browsing Ebay, I purchased a Tom Anderson guitar.....how unsensible.

I have therefore cut heavily into my ?? budget...
I took the Anderson to my luthier for a setup and I played it on his new Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. How sweet! No usefull OD tones, but there is a clean to die for.... It might hook up well with the Banzai pedal.
670? new, 500? used....I might go for that this time....

My main amp is the Hot Rod Deluxe. It's definitely a great amp for the price. As Marin says, it does have a fairly nice clean tone, particularly with a Strat, but it'd be nice to have a bit more headroom. The Drive section isn't pretty, but I find it useable when tamed with my TS-9. I would like to sell it and get something else, though. When I play through it, I'm always disappointed by what it can't do. |

Isn't that the recurring story about most amps?

Actually, I was looking for some cool (Fendery) cleans, but yes, I was looking at new OD pedals as well.
I must say I've narrowed it down to either the Zendrive or the Barber Burn Unit.
Your clips sound nice. I am tempted. Can it do higher gain stuff as well?
