Shocked Man, you paid a lot for that. I think I paid less than half that for the one I bought off ebay.

Daved,

Now a guy named Steve Snider (not the guy who made the original claim about Robben loving the pedal) says:

"sheesh. Cannot get the negative crap. RF tried this pedal at his house with Taku in the room. Don't know if he "loved" it but time will tell. I personally think it's much better than the Zendrive. If DaveD his tech says Robben never played the pedal he is full of shit."

But still not a peep from guy who first made the claim.

Jim

LOL Laughing
I didn't say he hadn't tried it, Robben said it. His words, not mine.
So HE really must be "full of shit" then, right?
Silly me for believing him.

And silly Robben for loving this pedal so much that he taped it up in a cardboard box, gave it to me 2 months ago asking me to put it away till he could try it out, and then using Zen pedals ever since.
Now that is truly passionate love, ain't it?
Wow! How could I have been so blind?
Laughing Wink Laughing

God, I am soooo glad these guys know Robben, his feelings, and his doings so much better than I after all these nine long years. We're certainly lucky that they spend so much more time with him and handle his gear so much more than I that they clearly know him so much better than I do.
My bad... I stand corrected.

Because, ya know, it really matters, doesn't it?
After all, it IS sooooo very important isn't it?
Do you think the world is going to survive?
Better get your acts together everyone because this surely must be a clear sign we are in the final days.
Could this be the end of civilization as we know it?!?!?!!

Is this really all these guys lives are about?!! Shocked Confused

Excuse me while I go do Robben a favor and throw out his Zens before he mistakenly asks me for one of them again because, lord knows, he's so obviously in love with that "new sheriff" that he plumb forgets he even has it.
(If there were a smiley that rolled its eyes, I would post it here.)

Sheeeesh!!!! This is why I stay away from bickerfest boards like that.

It's the problem of forgetting about the goal (aiming at ? ) and just focusing (but hard fuckusing) on the means . Just like these stinky dope dealers way back in the seventies. It's what i like with all my "masters" and my hero Jimi , some do spiritual , "healing" music, others they just stir it up.

I'm finding all this quite amusing. I'm no stranger to seeing intra-forum wars, but I've never seen an inter-forum battle! Laughing

JZ, we need the de-coder ring - quick........

Blobby, don't you ever change - I am coming to visit you one of these days....

Daved, excellent post - most entertaining for ages! I think there is a certain Spring madness in the forum just now or perhaps we are a bit hormonal?

Okay, now head over to my myspace page and jam your asses off to 'Katie 66'......

Seeing RF in May at Manchester, UK - I am literally crapping myself in anticipation and the cleaning bills are impressive........

Finally it ends. The thread was nuked by an administrator.

The OP wasn't heard from for days and then out of the blue he says:

"I feel exonerated and vindicated, but I have no bad feelings towards the others who "accused" me and wondered about my ulterior motive - there wasn't any, btw. If I were on the other side of the fence, I may have wondered the same, I don't know. I do want to, however, express my sincere gratitude for the "minority" who still gave me the benefit of the doubt even when things were going nowhere but downhill fast. In particular, I would like to thank Jim Fogarty for believing in me - thanks, Jim! You are a classy guy w/monster chops! :dude

Many of my friends advised me to NUKE the thread, but I chose not to as it would have been the easy way out, and at the same time, I would look like a guilty party when I did nothing wrong."

What?

Then I asked him to explain again and still no straight answer. Later I get a PM from the Jim Fogarty guy he mentions above:

"Hey,

You really need to lay off of Eddie on this one, trust me.

Really, there's more to the story.......Daved's a good guy, but he's wrong in this case. Robben HAS played this pedal and seriously digs it. The one Daved has is a new version.

Ths has gone so far overboard and gotten so nasty that I understand Eddie not wanting to post about it anymore.

No one cares if you like the pedal or not........but you really need to knock off ripping the guy, and maybe even delete your posts or shoot him an apology.

cheers!"

Shoot him an apology? Are you kidding me?

Anyway, I'm done with the whole silly thing. For some strange reason the OP couldn't come up with a simple explanation for the conflicting stories. He could have resolved it at any time with a straight answer but chose not to. Very strange.

Hi jim, I think is this case you were that way of tease i always go for , trying to keep my borderline over a groucho marx attitude. That was a hell of fun , too bad that went nuked . Not necessarly by an adm. May be & surely by the OP himself in my way of thinking. One of my last post was about : " one can play a thing a few minuts and think ""i'll try it later (coz it mightworthes it ), then others people witnessing this might think a whole cartoon in their head. As Simple...........But to make it hort it was FUN

Hey! Wait for me! I wanna party with you guys!!!

Actually, I didn't need the BDR(tm) this time. Perhaps it's it the beers, or else the language assimilation, or both! Laughing

I also want jconstant to make the trip. Sound good?!

I'd better check out the movie before making a further commitment. So the Paris trip is on then?
