It's 1970, a Canadian promoter puts Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy, The Band, and others on a train and has them do a string of concerts from one side of Canada to another. Politics and music become like oil and water 'cause the kids think the shows should be free (sound familiar?)! Priceless stuff.

This one is my favorite DVDs -- Festival Express !!! I saw it a few months ago at the theater and it's already out on DVD.
I even liked Buddy Guy's performance in this one ! Really great video of the Grateful Dead & Janis !!!! Too bad Stevie W. & Traffic didn't take the train. I read they were on the tour. I would've included him if it was my movie.
Janis is great on this video !!! It's worth buying just to see her sing & laugh & chatter !
