hi all,

i learned this song a while back with the help on this thread.

i came back to today because i didn't remember ever seeing Bb7sus (6th fret) mentioned, maybe because it's so obvious?

anyways there is also a Bb7sus4 chord --after the climb from F7sus "by the light of the...".

here's another YouTube of it (or maybe this is the one the other thread had, there are two out there, i know of):

Tedro,

I think there was Ab/Bb which is basically Bb7sus4 with added 9th or Bb9sus4. I admit I heard it as Ab/Bb but that youtube clip shows otherwise. If I played the song with or without band, I would still go for Ab/Bb with Bb on top, though now that Bb7sus4 sounds really nice to me.

Hi

I tried to figure out the chords he plays in the video tedro posted.
Here is what I hear and see (verse only).

Basicly it´s the chord progression sampo and robbentony published in this thread, but I think Robben often does not play the bass line/notes.

Hi

Here is my version of Riley B King. Some of the chords has just gotten a new name, and some some have been extended. Check out my pdf-picture-file that I have made in guitar-pro.

This is my idea of the chords:
verse
 Ab Eb  Ab/eb Eb -/d 
 Cm7 G#5  Cm7 Eb/bb 
 Ab Gm7#5  Bo Cm7 
 Ab  F7sus4  ( Bb7sus4 )
Chorus
 Ab/eb Eb  Cm 7 Eb/bb 
 Ab Gm7#5  Bo Cm7 
 Ab Am7#5  Eb/bb Bo Cm7 
Cm11/ab  Bb7sus4 

Here is a picasaweb link to the voicings
http://picasaweb.google.dk/henriklundsorensen/Pdf#5414000982950090194

I am pretty satisfied with the chords and voicings, hope you think the same.

Kind regards
Henrik Lund Sorensen

There's a new section on this very Forum for Transcriptions! Wink

Maybe everyone should re-post these over there?
