Jerry J is most definitely a legend - he was on just about every soul and R&B hit Atlantic had in the late 60s, early 70s: Aretha, King Curtis, Wilson Pickett...King Curtis Live at the Fillmore has some incredible bass playing.

Stuert Smith is a monster player. Listen to Rodney Crowell's Diamonds and Dirt for proof. I saw him with Crowell on the tour supporting that record and he was just amazing. Uses a thumb pick and his solos are 4 or 8 bar gems of taste and twang. When Crowell and Rosanne Cash got divorced we joked about who would get custody of Stuert, since he played with both of them in the studio and on tour. Too bad he is playing with the Eagles now (just my opinion).

And speaking of which I guess the Eagles needed a new guitar player since Joe Walsh is playing with the James Gang again (James Gang Rides Again, again?)

Well, I would've like to see Bobby Lee Rodgers in the GAF Band.

The double slide duo of Mark Johnson and Tom Gray would've been good too.
