I saw Mike Landau with his trio here tonight and one of the highlights was a version of Worried Life Blues obviously indebted to RF's version on Mystic Mile. Perhaps he was influenced by playing with RF earlier this year in Jing Chi?

I've heard that they play together occasionally at some of those little LA clubs the heavyweights use for Wednesday night kicking out the jams.

I gather they're mates. I found it interesting that Landau was also playing a Les Paul, just like Robben has been recently. Landau's version of Worried Life Blues was a knockout - much more 'rawk' than Robben's but not too 'rawk' like Gary Moore or someone. Aeolian, have you ever been to one of those Wednesday nights?

I saw him play "worried Life Blues" at the Baked Potato in September, it was so good it was almost unbelievable. I wish he would release another show from BP or one of the Japan shows.

So it's a regular part of his set. He obviously LOVES playing it. Just before he played it, I was thinking it'd be nice if he played a blues. Then he played that and blew everyone away. And I totally agree with you about the CD situation, Rob.
