I've got an ES 335 ... brown mahogany ... and it needs a new bridge. Any advice? I'm going to keep the old for salvage value someday.

Tone Pros? Haven't used one myself, but I've heard very good things from those who have. Plus, they won't fall off when you change strings.

For what it's worth, consider an LR Baggs/Graphtech (etc) piezo bridge. Depending on your taste, what you play, and the skills of your favourite tech (i.e. someone who can do the installation of the electronics without any cosmetic modifications) this can be a great investment.

I use a graphtech piezo system in my 84 Ibanez Artist Semi-Acoustic (also mahogany T/B/S) and it works really well. Being able to blend electric and acoustic tones works particularly well with a semi-acoustic.

Cool

Chris

Follow up ... put on the Tone Pros II ... on the ES335 ... I still have the floating tail piece, but wow ... what a difference!

Also disabled the pickup toggle and converted one volume dial to blend both pickups. All of the sublte tonal changes are a lot of fun ... cool stuff!
