Johnny A. will be performing for Austin City Limits on 12/3, but it's only being recorded for a radio show. The show's producer just might be convinced to videotape it if he gets flooded with requests. As a fellow music lover with obvious good taste  , Johnny A. fan or not (yet!), would you please take one minute to fire off a quick email to acl@klru.org asking to videotape and air the Johnny A. performance?

Finally got around to looking into this. It's KGSR's 14th annual Concert Broadcast. They are just using the ACL studio. Along with Johnny A there will be Patty Griffin and Ian McLagan and his Bump Band.Starts at 7:30.It might be streamed from their website(KGSR.com) but don't quote me. All we can hope for is that Terry Lickona is in attendance and offers Johnny his own taping at a later date. For anyone in the area Johnny A will be playing the Cactus Cafe on Sat., the 4th. Very intimate and great sounding room.

Definitely go see Johnny A. if you have the opportunity. His sound is always great, and his playing will leave you smiling and shaking your head.

Did anyone catch the Austin City Limits show on 12/3 or the Cactus Cafe show on 12/4?

Saw Johnny A at the Cactus Cafe dec 4 truly an incredible show. The Venue is so small it made for a very intimate performance. His band are some baaad cats. He told a great story about seeing Hendrix when he was a kid (his mom took him). I loved it and so did everyone that was w/ me. I owe board member Johnny Z kudos for turning me on to JA.

My pleasere there, Dave. It's fun watching people turn into instant Johnny A. fans after they've seen him live. He's that type of an artist.
And, just an(other) unsolicited plug- buy Dave Duscharme-Jones' cds! They're awesome!
