Hi fellow music lovers,
I recently purchased the digitally remastered CD of this classic Mahavishnu Orchestra recording and it just blew me away. For those of you like me who have owned this on vinyl for 30 years or so and have always been just a little bit disappointed in the quality of the sound, you will be very pleased when you hear this for the first time. It sounds like you are standing in the recording studio with the players !. From the haunting opening of " Vital Transformation ", to the bluesy, off beat "Dance of Maya", to the simplistic beauty of "A Lotus on Irish Streams", to the frantic, mind numbing "Noonward Race", this is an all time classic that is sure to please. John McLaughlin, Billy Cobham, and Jan Hammer created a fusion masterpiece that is timeless and sounds better than ever.
If you don't own this or haven't heard the remastered CD you may want to ask Santa for this one. You never know what you may find in your stocking on Christmas morning.
