Since it seems to be ok to DL these shows check out:

http://everydayjones.com/BitTorrent/showthread.php?t=2057

You need to register and some Bit Torrent software, but if this isn't motivation I don't kow what is. Don't thank me, flame me as I didn't post the show to everyday jones, but do enjoy! Kirk/Daved if this out of bounds, my apologies please delete this post.

%*#@*%!!
Well, I was hoping to hear it but it appears there is no way, unless I learn computer programming.
There is no software for Mac running older (9.2) OS (my current setup :-[ )
If anyone can shed any light on this I would be interested, thanks

This is what I use on the MAC OS 10.3.....

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php

Install Azureus...then load

click on the bittorrent you want to download

it downloads the bittorent tracker file (what ever they call it)

drag that file to the open Azureus

and you're good to go...it takes a while to DL

I am downloading it right now myself....

I use this program as my TiVo......

Thanks kirk, I appreciate the reply.
I'm saving up for a new Mac, then I'll be running OS 10
By then I'm afraid the files will not be available
My problem is ('till then) I'm running OS 9.2.2 and, unless there's somthing I'm not understanding, there is no Azureus for OS 9.

Phil T,

I just did a little search of my own and I don't think that there are classic BT programs. DOH!

I know you are saving up & I'm not trying to put salt in your wound but OSX is a great upgrade on an old (depending on how old) or new machine. It is MUCH more stable then OS9. I have had NO crashes since I installed it on my old G4 450 a while back & my new G5 runs like a champ.

Back to the topic at hand, PM me and I’ll do a B&P or a trade for the show. If you don’t know what a B&P is goto: http://www.mcnichol.com/bnp/

Cheers!

I'm a little confused. There are no public soundboard recordings being made available and this posted set list includes songs that either have never been learned by this band ("Rendezvous"???) or are not being played out here ("Queen Of Hearts"???) or were not being played at the time of the Penn's Peak show ("Multicolored Lady"???) or were not even learned by the band until 3 days ago ("Slip Away"???).....?

Daved,

That’s really interesting.

I’m not sure of the source of the torrent (both if it is truly a SBD and where it came from). I looked at the thread and it was posted on 1/25 so maybe it’s from another date?? There are moments where it is hard to hear Robben’s gtr so maybe it’s not a SBD. To my ears it does sound like Robben on “Slip Away” but you would know better. Could this be a fake?

As far as the unknown songs maybe they are mislabeled, I don’t know all of the material well enough to know.

Hello All, I was at the Penn's Peak show loving every minute of it and was amazed to hear Gregg sing "Multicolored Lady" and "Queen of Hearts". Two of my alltime fav solo Gregg tunes that I never heard him perform before. I was waiting and Hoping for Robben to wail on Queen of Hearts but the solo space was given to the sax and keys.

I can't honestly remember if I heard the other tune mentioned or not.

JohnnyZ non-techno-weenie here...

I downloaded all of these flac files, but when I double click on any one of the, I get an "access denied" message. And, when I try to open it in the latest version of winamp just downloaded, I get nothing.

HELP!

You need to convert the flac's to wav/aif files. Google flac and you'll find a converter. xACT works real well for the MAC it does shn & flac.

or you could use the WinAmp FLAC plugin...then the FLAC files just play in WinAmp.

Download here:

For all you non-geek members, I DLed this show and will convert to MP3 and post in the Download Forum. There will be new files to download everyday for a while..... so keep checking back.......

I will concede to you fan ears on the possibility of the first two (Penn's Peak was ages ago in road/tour time. But...
If we did do "Queen Of Hearts", then you got lucky as Gregg dropped the song from the playlist almost immediately. As for "Multi colored Lady" that's the one capo'd song (A potential tuning-tension moment, depending upon where it sits in the set, so I figured I'd remember it if we played it) and we went a long spell without it until recent shows, so again, I could be wrong and maybe we did play it once or twice early on.
But, I know for a fact that this band has never done "Randezvous". I asked band members if it could be a song they do under a title I am not familiar with and was told a definite "no". Band members in the know told me they know what song that is and that "No, "Randezvous" is NOT in this set and has never been done by this band.

If you want the lossless version that's what easytree and everyday jones are for. Go download them them there.

There are many members here who have no clude what a Bit Torrent is or what or how to deal with FLAC files. For those members, I have simplified the process and posted MP3's.

Also, the FLAC files are much larger than MP3 files. Again, I am not in the file sharing business with unlimited Bandwidth.....
