Robben was very often in Europe. Almost every year. Sometimes twice a year. It seems they are still working on a possible tour with the Ford Brothers with Robben Ford the first 2 weeks of May. Dal Booth wrote me a couple of weeks ago: "We are in the process of confirming dates now. Most of them appear to be in Czch Republic,Germany and Switzerland. These dates will be posted when they have been confirmed".

Roscoe has been working on a CD that should be released in the spring. And according to his website, he's playing in Austin with Tucker Roundtree. |

I just found out that a plane ticket from the Netherlands to Oslo (150 km from Lillehammer) is only 60 euro. Does anyone from the Dutch Forum members has plans to attend this bluesfestival?

Buddy of mine said he ran into Tom playing with some latin thing down in LA. Apparently he has been doing some stuff with Chick, but Dave Wekel is touring with the Electrik Band. Can't wait for that even if Patatuchi can't make it. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

I'm sorry Henk, but I have different plans. Pitty that Robben's site isn't up to date. If I knew this, let's say, one month ago I would have considered going. _________________ "Don't play what's there, play what's not there" Miles Davis |

I saw some Euro dates for The Ford Blues Band (including RF) posted on Volker's web site:
http://www.volkerstrifler.com/calendar.htm
Leftbender, that gives you one month's notice !
I'm curious who will be playing with Robben in Lillehammer ???? _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

|
|
I've been in touch with both Robben & Dal over the last few days as we fine tune the logistics of the Norway trip.
The entourage will consist of Robben (of course), Hilary Jones (drums), Roscoe Beck (bass), and me (road manager/tech).
Band gear will be provided by the promoters (except for cymbals, foot pedals, and guitars). Robben has requested 2 Fender Twins or Super Reverbs.
Robben will perform at the Lillehammer Festival at midnight on Friday the 15th.
Then he will perform at 8 pm the next evening, Saturday the 16th, at the Rock Bottom Club in Oslo.
Both nights will be full length shows. _________________ B C-ing U!

Which begs the gearhead question, what is the OD pedal du jour?
Roscoe and Hil, sounds cool. Can't remember if I've heard them together but two great musicians who listen can't go wrong. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
