Is there any chance the powers-that-be might get both volumes of this onto a DVD sometime soon? VHS was never the best format for something that needs to be watched repeatedly - DVD wins hands-down!
Even if it was only sold through this site it would still sell a few thousand. Worth it, surely?
Cheers,
Charly. _________________ I first started to play guitar 35 years ago... Trouble is, I had 20 years off in the middle. |

I just bought all of Robben's videos on DVD to replace the VHS versions I've got. The only drag is that the 'bonus footage' of the band playing on Blues and Beyond is just taken from the Back to the Blues video. Its great stuff but I was hoping for more new stuff that I hadn't seen. |

That certainly looks legit, although there is no sign of it on Amazon. If anyone sees this for sale somewhere other than eBay, please post a link. Thanks.

I just found this link:
http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_searchresults.html?cart=3308292300705465.
Seems legit although there's not a great deal of info - or a picture - on the site.

That link seems to just take me to the main page. I looked at all the Robben stuff they have but didn't see a DVD version of Back to the Blues.

|
|
Hi
I finally bought a copy of this myself.
On the back cover it says 'Other songs performed by the Blue Line include 'Bad Luck Blues' 'I Don't Play' & 'Born Under A Bad Sign'.'
My copy doesn't appear to have 'Born Under A Bad Sign' !
Is it just my copy ?
Thanks

Hi Graeme , i had it on VHS and if i recall well , Born under a bad sign was not complete and used as intro while the speaker introduces the stuff with a very LOUD voice and some silly effects hide Robben's fingers during a very majestuous run................ but hey might be wrong
Anyway the 2 others are great & not disturbed |

I did exactly what you did...I'd buy anything Robben reissued or produced new in this format on DVD...it's great stuff and even the people I know wheo have degrees in theory and play professionally love his stuff on DVD...it's a real eye-opener into how he thinks and approaches the guitar...stuff like Robbens videos always give me a kick in the butt to play more. _________________ I'll be spending way too much time here... |
