Telefunk mentioned these guys in another post and expressed the desire to see them live. Well, here you go - this is from the annual Gypsy Jazz festival held at Samois-sur-Seine, near Paris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhRhHQ6JCCE
The trio is made up of Stochelo Rosenberg on guitar and his two cousins on guitar and bass. Incidentally, Stochelo owns a very old Selmer Maccaferri with the serial number 504 - Django's was 503 ...
The nice thing is that once you start digging around on YouTube you come across more of these guys. Here's another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI5P9REpiPM Bireli Lagrene is also an excellent jazz guitarist who toured with Pastorius in the 80s. _________________ "Creativeness often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Thanks - I did some searching on the Tube after I posted my message yesterday. What did we do before the internet and YouTube?! Oh yeah, I sat in my room and practiced for hours on end. Now I sit in my office and watch videos...
I need to find an excuse to head over to Holland or France to catch these guys live - great stuff.

Another Rosenberg -- Jimmy Rosenberg -- gets a lot of airplay on the radio station I listen to. There are some great videos on YouTube of "young" Jimmy Rosenberg as well. _________________ Travelling by train of thought
