I have a Fender Esprit that I am trying to wire up and I am having problems. I have a Duncan 59 nuck and JB bridge, 2 vol and 2 tone (tone are push/pull). I can get it to do a coil tap, but the middle position is out of phase sounding. right now the red and whites are together and soldered to one of the middle lugs of the push pull (same for both pickups). Should I switch the green (ground) wire for another? Which one?
How does robben wire his? I see he uses a switch, which I am considering also.

The wiring diagrams are on the Duncan website. I have the same set up. I put a mini toggle switch in. The body was routed same as the Ultras, so I just poked a hole though (put tape on the top, drill a small pilot hole and then start the drill from each side to avoid splitting any wood or the finish). Sometimes mixing pickups of different brands will do this, but with those two Duncans, the polarity should be right. You could do the Gary Moore trick and flip one magnet around, in this case to get rid of the out of phase sound in the middle position.

I've been there, it's still not very clear. The example only shows the bridge being split, not both. How you you do it so both pickups would be split at the same time? I have a DPDT switch I can use.
