I had heard that Robben had played with Mike Clark, so while making a research on Internet, I found this concert review : http://www.bboogie.com/NEW_BREW.htm
No less than a gig with Lenny White, Mike Clark, Victor Bailey, Kenny Garrett, Eddie Henderson, Stanley Clarke, DJ Logic, George Colligan ( I don't know him ) . Some Robben pics included. It sure looked like a great concert.
On another note, it seems that Robben also had another gig with Mike Clark with a band named Roots Funk All Stars, "with James Brown trombonist Fred Wesley, former Headhunter cohort and bass legend Paul Jackson, organist Dr. Lonnie Smith " . I have some live clips of Robben with Mike Clark, it might with this formation, they really play their a** off, another side of Robben being really funky .
Maybe somebody would have more information about those bands : any albums scheduled, concert reviews, etc...

I was lucky enough to be there at BB Kinks, and it was an incredible night. Robben played beautifully......funky, tasteful...as usual. I could have done w/o DJ Logic....no offense(I've used DJ in some of my projects) but it just didn't seem to fit in with what I was hearing. Non the less, and magical event.
Oh......and for the record, Robben Played the Sunburst LP, through a reissue Blackface Twin, with the Mosferatu pedal all night. His tone was a bit off at first(sounded like it was "getting away from him", but after a bit of tweeking....wow........very cool.
