hi Daved,
i'm wondering if there's a cd of the entire KFOG session. that's some of robben and the band's best playing. i'd really like to buy a few copies. do you know if it exists and where? thanks,
david

Are you referring to The Authorized Bootleg? KFOG occasionally gets folks permission to include cuts on their "Live from the Archives" releases. And I think there is some Robben on one of them. There have been other broadcasts. I think I have a tape somewhere where KFOG boardcast one set from Yoshi's during Tiger Walk tours. This was the "east coast" band with Novack on drums and everything was played up and really fast, as compared to the "west coast" section who played everything a little more laid back and in the pocket. I think one of these cuts also made it onto a Live from the Archives release as well.

hi,
no, i have a copy of a few tunes that i think were done in a studio with a live audience. the brother, tired of talkin, chevrolet and up the line. the playing is so great. i'm trying to find out if there's an entire cd of this session, and where to buy them. i'll try the kfog website. if you haven't heard them, i'm happy to post them for anyone.
thanks,
david

I believe I remember the KFOG gig you're talking about. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was about 3(?) years ago at one of the studios at the PowerPlant in Sausalito.

Anyway, as far as any official recorded releases of that show, there are none that I am aware of, only the occasional bootleg, recorded off the radio, that pops up for sale on the internet everyonce in awhile.

thanks for the reply Daved. that must have been a great scene. awesome playing. if anyone has a copy, i'll be glad to trade. i've got some great recordings of robben here in nyc from '88 to around '92.
