Hello, All,
Thought you'd be interested in this "blues-lovers tidbit". We are off this morning to tape a webcast radio show for http://www.sunsetstrip.com which will be up and running in April. Robben is hosting an hour-long blues broadcast, and if it is a hit, there will be more to come. This is a great show (I heard it yeatserday) with all of his favorite tracks from his favorite artists, so log on to www.sunsetstrip.com and check it out. P.S. I am also hosting a show "Great Singers, Great Songs" featuring amzing vocalists, so check that out too, on the same site!
Cheers,
Anne |

Well Anne, I clicked on the link but they want me to share my backseat experiences!!?? I tell you as it is: I'll keep them to myself. But I confess I have never had any kind of such experience with Robben if that's what it's all about and I swear I never will.

SunsetStrip.com is live now. I listened to The Robben Ford Blues Show -- it's 30 minutes of Chicago-style Blues, featuring music by the Paul Butterfield Band, Sonny Boy Williamson, B.B. King, Magic Sam, Otis Rush, Charlie Musselwhite, as well as two songs from Keep on Running. The web site says there will be a new show every week.
Do you think he'll be playing requests _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

Based on the eclectic stuff he brings to the clinics to inspire folks, this could be really interesting. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

It was a great show. I stayed after work to finish listening to it! Robben plays a little of his stuff and a lot of his favorites from other artists. I will definitely check this out every week.

Anybody else here on a Mac having trouble listening to the show? When I click the Play button I get a page with some code on it and Media Player doesn't launch. I'm all up to date and I know everything on my end is working properly. |

Thanks, Anne. Here's the email reply I got from Sunset Strip:
_____________
The radio shows have been encoded in Windows Media format and can be
played from your Internet Explorer browser or your AOL browser on both
PC and Mac platforms.
Mozilla (Firefox, Netscape) and Safari browsers are not supported at
this time.
Thank you.

I use Safari so I guess I'll have to fire up IE to check it out (ugh!)
I'm looking forward to hearing both Robben's show and yours too, Anne! |
