I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum on the many gear pages, but I'd rather seek the advice from the many pro's who hang around this best forum on the world wide web... Very Happy

I'd like advice on setting up my pedalboard. Right now, I have 3 pedals-
Dunlop Crybaby 535Q Multi-Wah
Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer (the cheapest one)
Visual Sound H2O Liquid Chorus & Echo.

What makes the most sense, from guitar to amp?

Also, if I was to get one of those Zendrive Blues OD pedals, where would that fit into my scheme? Would/should the (cheap) Ibanez TS be put out of commission, replaced by the Zend? And, again assuming a Zendrive Blues OD, where should that fit into my scheme of the Dunlop Wah and the H2O?

Other discussions on pedals welcome, of course... Very Happy

Thank you for your input.

~JohnnyZ~

Hey Johnny!

You have a couple options:

Guitar>Wah>Tubescreamer>Chorus/Echo>Amp

or

Guitar>Wah>Tubescreamer>Amp with the Chorus/Echo in the amp loop if it has one.

Some people thing that the tubescreamer needs to go before the wah, but in my chain the wah is always first. As far as the Zendrive, see how it sounds with the tubescreamer and if you can get different/useable sounds from both. I would experiment also, with different combinations just to see how they sound, you might stumble onto something very cool and unique.

Johnny I have my distortion before the wah, and I have my chorus and delay after. As long as you have the real estate, keep both OD pedals in the chain. It doesn't hurt anythign and it lets you set two different sounds without having to change the settings between songs. I have two chorus/delay pedals on my board with each set differently. I am also planning on a Zendrive in the near future and it will go on the board along with my Sparkle Drive.
