Is there anyone on this forum from the Los Angeles area that could make this TV program available for the rest of us to see?
KADL-TV/Adelphia Channel - Tuesday November 15, 2005 @ 7:30 p.m.
Robben Ford / Eric Johnson
In episode 4 of “The Play List” blues guitarist Robben Ford graces the stage at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. Recorded in January of 2004 Robben plays his latest tunes as well as some Robben Ford classics such as “Help The Poor”
Also featured on TPL4 we are proud to feature Grammy Award winning recording artist Eric Johnson in a rare acoustic set. _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

Yesterday, I spoke with the producer of the show, Eric Winter, who has interviewed Robben in the past. I explained that I lived in the San Diego area and was trying to find out how I could get a copy of the show. Since the cable company is noy permitted to sell copies of their shows due to copyright restrictions, he said he would try to get the San Diego affiliate to replay the show in my area and I could then tape the show. I didn't know the TV show, "Play List" was even on my cable listings, since I watch very little TV. But, now that I know it's on Monday evenings at 10:30pm, I'll keep checking to see if Robben's performance is shown and let you know if I get it.

Did anyone from L.A. see the TV show last night ? I tried to contact a few folks, but had no luck
I was dusting the archives ,
and came across this old post by jconstant.
I wonder if this is the same show -- the date is different than what was advertised, but it might be the same show

I guess not. Well, I went and here's what I saw:
There were two openers. The first was Connie Rae and the Ricky Lewis Band. It was great to hear a really good opening band at the Coach House for a change. Connie had a great voice and the band was really a band – meaning, they really new how to play together and weren’t all trying to be individualists. That really stuck out for me. Each of the band members were really solid musicians and it showed.
A second opening act was a solo act. One guy on stage with an acoustic guitar. I didn’t catch his name and his music wasn’t my cup of tea. To me all of the songs were the same and it didn’t do anything for me. With that said, the guy wasn’t a hack or anything. He could play and I think it takes a couple of big ones to get up on stage as an opener by yourself and do what you do. I gotta give him a lot of credit for that.
Robben took the stage at about 9:30.
The Band: RF, Guitar; Volker Strifler, Guitar; Dwayne Pate, Bass; Hilary Jones, Drums
Chevrolet – Tele
Up the Line – Baker
Indianola – Baker
The Way That You Treated Me – Baker
Homework – Tele
Cannonball Shuffle – Baker
Over My Head – Baker
Tired of Talkin’
Help the Poor – Baker
It Don’t Make Sense – Tele
Lovin’ Cup – Tele
(encore) Keep On Running – Baker
What can I say that hasn’t been said in the past? It was a great show to kick off the tour. There was a small crowd, which was disappointing. I saw a few young fans ranging in age from 8 to 12 years old or so. Volker had technical problems through the first three songs but once Daved got things fixed we got to hear him. What a tasty player he is – a real compliment to the band. As is almost always the case, everyone looked relaxed and like they were enjoying themselves. Dwayne smoked, it was great to hear Hilary again (I really like her style), and Robben….well, Robben is Robben. Terrific sound, his voice sounded really, really good, great playing – he’s just one of the best there is.
Cox Communications was taping the show but Daved wasn’t sure what it was going to be used for. He said when he finds out he’d let us know.
Daved, it was good to see you and thanks for the stories about how much fun you have traveling. I envy what you’re able to do.

I didn't see the broadcast, but I was at that show - front row, just to the right of Robben (his left). |

I can't imagine no one watched and recorded this TV broadcasting. I'm also interested in a copy. I'm willing to exchange a copy for one of the TV braodcastings in Europe (Montreux, Leverkusen, Burghausen and more).
