Hello everybody,
I've recently bought a T-Rex Replica pedal (delay) and I would find the same kind of Robben's (most common)delay setting. I never used a delay pedal before and I'm lost
Thus, if somebody knows it would be kind to show me the way.
On my pedal, I have 4 knobs :
Echo = mix between direct and delay signal (min = direct signal / max = only delay is heard)
Level = output level
Repeat = number of repetition (min= rep once / max = almost infinity)
Tempo = delay time (min =12 milliseconds / max= 1500 millisecond)
Thanks
(sorry for my english ) _________________ Don't worry, be happy |

Welcome Ahla Ouate, if you're patient enough to check all the threads you will find the settings, the Holy graal is around 116ms , you will find pictures of the settings in this board .
Then i think one guy gave some settings on the french guitare.com,
slightly differents but with all the info you ask.
I tried to make one with my quadraverb and it's very tricky to feel the way
Mr FORD get fun with this setting if you don't crank your amp and don't have an Semi or Full Hollowed guitar.
Once again IMHO. PS : Volume pedal needed too. |

Gegroet, beste man uit België,
Once I had the same problem as you now have : I simply throw everything out of the window and gave that searching for the ulyimate tech up.
I coudn't find the right tones......so now I am playing straight without any technical solution !
Greetings,
Fill from Brussels.

Robben's basic delay time ("Tempo") has for many years been, and remains, 116ms. He has a couple others, but he can, and often does, do without them.
"Repeats" should only be 1 to (barely) 2.... 3 is waaayyyy too much.
"Echo" mix should be VERY light on the delayed signal.
"Level" usually means setting the pedal's volume so it is the same when the effect is turned on and off.
Remember, VERY important.... the delay is soooo miniscule that I have to listen very closely to be sure it is even there, when testing Robben's rig.
As for his 2 other delay times, they have changed slightly recently, so I would have to check them again to give you accurate info. But I do know they are somewhere around 250 ms. _________________ B C-ing U!

Thanks a lot Daved, it's very very kind of you .
I'm already waiting for your next date in the Spirit of 66 (Belgium). The Robben 's last performance (november 2003) was very extraordinary. The most important thing to me was that he was very happy to play. Very great _________________ Don't worry, be happy |
