hi LBMA , i must say i barely believe u when you say : " have just discovered a band of covers of ROBBEN FORD: ". Because one must be schizoid to search over ".fr" specially if he speaks a good english like U.
Not to say i couldn't admit being an old fart; .
Néanmoins you're a lucky guy. I suspect you to be really close to these guys, Question You konw if you take some time to lurk all the stories goin' around, for example hit search then type Robben's cover bands ; i am sure you'll be surprised...................
Then , this being said just check one of the last threads : " check this guitar out " and you will understand . Je suis le chieur européen.

Anyway thanks for sending the demo and welcome in the R F Wave. Cool

Evil or Very Mad Ok now i'll be more crude :

Stop spamming please . Go to introduction. hold yourself . Take time to enjoy. Just apppreciate . Don't try to sell your stuff. ........... Question Question

if you are the webmaster : cool job , great ideas .
if you are a band member : you suck spamming like this.
if you are a relative : ask them before doing this (once again try to look the old threads).
if you are not glad with this : hey nothing wrong i'm french too. Sad

I just don't get it. The only samples I can listen to is two tracks 'Wild About You' and Tired Of Talkin'. My french is non-existent, what words come up when you try to play the others?

Tired of Talkin is scary in terms of it's absolute faithfulness to the original tone and notes, it's 99% exact. If I hadn't listened properly I would have said it was a tempo affected version of the original. Does anyone think it's weird how the triplet fills at the end of the chorus speed up noticeably at the same place each time?

Question

Well , what can i say Question You know it happens there is a lot of unknown great players in Frogland.

The guy who did the mix is as great as the playing apparently. Razz

Now the audio is working for me . the start it up is not bad either.
I like the way the whole band is playing the same music.

There are a lot of great unknown players everywhere. Most don't generally take the time to learn solos note for note.

Someone has clearly taken a great deal of time and effort on this particular project. Like Bluelobster said not just the guitar but all the instruments are very close to the original.

Ron,

I thought I was a huge RF fan, but this is something else!

I have taken a listen too, and your right, "Tired off talkin'" is really unbeliveable, one way or another! I have never heard anything so close before. The other tracks prove, at least, they are "real" covers.

It astonishes me someone has taken the time to painstakely copy note for note, every nuance. I admire the guitarist, but it is quite absurd and unusual to go so far. I couldn't do it, and I even wonder if Robben could (not that he would want to, and i am glad he doesn't at his gigs)!

I have to be honest, I do like to hear people's interprtations; it makes it kind of interesting and fun

Oh Steph , english is the main language onboard, that is.
Now concerning your association : are you just a rehearsal, recording studio ? or more implied with the bands like helping them to be legally paid?
I mean in my corner of France most of the gigs are " travail au noir ".......

About the main guitar player : the quality of the breathing in his lines impress me far more than the note for note stuff in Tired of talking.

Then i listened to Start it up "The other tracks prove, at least, they are "real" covers" to quote DD.

So Steph , it's up to you : who are these guys, did they study in U.S.A ?
I know North France is far more Rock & Blues than any other places but i had to ask this............
