I picked up a Squire esprit a few weeks ago after reading the comments on this board.

What a cool little guitar. Lot of bang for the bux. I did have to alter it a bit. The satin hardware was replaced with gold and the pickups were swapped with a Gibson Classic 57 and 57+. Absolutely went from a good guitar to great one.
