This is near the top of my all time favorite Robben Ford tunes, and I have at least 6 different versions of it. I'm leaning toward the Live at the House of Blues take because of the cool-ass guitar solo, but they are all great, of course. What is YOUR favorite version? |

I don't want make you drool , but it's hard to pick up one among the 37 i have. I will say : 1983 with Vinnie Colaiuta , R.Ferrante & Roscoe (not sure)
playing clubs in L.A. The 1992 Blue line european tour : Some nights in Germany & Switzerland are pure magic. And the one in Brazil. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=147748 |

For sure............"The Paris Concert" DVD with Brannen Temple (Drums), Jimmy Earl (Bass) & Lou Pardini (Keyboards). I just love the last few chords Robben uses leading into the drum solo. I think the entire performance is awesome. |

The Authorized Bootleg version is great, but I think I have to agree with the Paris New Morning DVD.

Frank..........yep, there's something about the "feel" of that Paris concert version that gets to me every time I watch it. And, I love those chords! |

Few years ago he used to use this song he wrote called The Cheif as an intro to HTP. Saw him do it with Tom, Jimmy and Jeff, and with Billy, Myron and Joe. Different but that era the song was smoking. The current incarnation is cool, but the energy of The Cheif really set them up for a burn. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

The version on Paris New Morning is a little hotter than some of the others and I love the intro. SFHalo is right about those chords, too. For a different take on the song listen to B.B. King and Eric Clapton cover it on "Riding With The King".
