Hi Daved,
Wow, this is a great thing that you do.
I saw Robben in the 80's using a Red Knob Twin and it sounded great. What is the story with that amp? Does Robben still use it? If so how does it compare to the Dumble? Does he run both channels etc?

As far as I know, none of the "red Knobs", Robben has used were ever specificaly tweaked.
I can tell you that all of the twins Robben has used since I've been around are just plain old stock Fenders, except for the couple that he owns here in Europe. And the only thing done to them is the occassional retubing and swapping of speakers. The current one we are touring with has custom Eminence speakers in it.
And, predicting the inevitable question, LOL.... yes Robben is using a twin in conjunction with the Dumble over here. I take a feed from the TC's direct out and put it into the front of the Twin. It is used mainly for a touch of Reverb, not as a tone or power amp. _________________ B C-ing U!
