There are only three artists/groups whose work I've tried to collect as much of as possible: The Beach Boys; John Coltrane; and Robben. (Got lots of old vinyl of the first two.) I just found and bought on iTunes a number from a 1999 or 2000 CD entitled "This Club Rocks!" (an apparent fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs), "Hot Cha Cha," featuring Robben and Mark. Does anyone know anything about this CD, or who the other musicians are on Robben's and Mark's cut? (It's available from Amazon, but the Amazon site sure doesn't say much.)
One other interesting cut on the CD features Bonnie Raitt, with her brothers Steve and Davd, and her late father John. Wow.
By the way, another "ha-cha-cha": Roscoe Beck's new album "Walk On." Gotta' get a copy. From the samples on Beck's website, Robben's parts are insane. _________________ - BlueRunner |

That's from Mark's CD called Mark Ford with the Robben Ford Band. Definitely worth having.

If BlueRocket is taking credit cards, I could be in big trouble!

There's another CD called Mark Ford and the Blue Line. You need that one too. And one by Mark Ford & Garth Webber called On The Edge. Gotta have that too!

My Mark Ford & The Blue Line cd arrived today, and it's a great album! Hot Cha Cha is a really fun song! I also got The Ford Blues Band's Fords & Friends, and that is an awesome album as well. I was particularly drawn to an instrumental by Robben called Sahara Moon. I also really liked Another Fine Day with Chris Cain on guitar & vocals. He's got a great Blues voice and guitar tone that one can argue that it rivals Robben's tone.
And, now that Blue Rockit accepts credit cards, I can picture some more damage being done to my VISA... |

Yes, Yes, Yes. Where's my credit card? I've heard Mark Ford play live several times, and it is always a treat.
Saw Chris Cain last night, and agree with Johnny Z that his tone is very similar to Robben's. A great prelude to the Robben Ford show in Portland a couple weeks from now. |

I think about that song a lot as I have an MGB. Unfortunately I don't have much hair left for the wind to blow through! It's still fun.
