I think I would buy it at every show I go to.
When I go to see local musicians (which is often) I almost always buy their CDs at the show to support the musicians. But I'd prefer a recording of the actual show if it was available. |

I absolutely agree with the professor and JoeB63. In these days with internet and fast connections there are many more ways of communication between fans and artists. Let the Robben Ford wave grow. And of course: I want to pay for it. |

I think Robben should allow recordings at his shows, as well. I understand that he doesn't make money off of tapers, but he'd certainly widen his fan base! Look what it does for Phish, the Funky Meters, Widespread Panic, the Radiators, etc.! George Porter, Jr., from the Funky Meters(he's the original bass player from the legendary Meters, BTW) releases a whole bunch of recordings at a time, dubbing "Tree Of Funk". This stuff reaches whole new audiences and people travel in droves down to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival to catch these bands every year. I bet Robben woud really profit from getting into a fanbase like that. |

I would certainly love to buy soundboard recordings of Robben's shows - he tours Australia about every 3 - 4 years - last time I saw him was in 1999 where he played songs off the Supernatural CD. I believe his management is currently struggling to get a promoter to bring him down here!! |

Do you know the wayne Kranz Site ????????
For ten bucks a month one can download all the live gigs performed.
That's not bad , but on another way it could make the artist more confidential plus the fact Wayne K is not touring extensively , mainly he plays NYC clubs i believe. |

Big YES to that one - look how successful bands like Pearl Jam have been, 25 gigs 25 Live albums, a personal souvenir of the show you attended (for most people), and a chance to catch a live show on CD if not in person ! |
