No, I never met Ollie before he died, but I do have vinyl copies of both the Patto album and the first 2 Boxer albums.

Daved, your guitar knowledge is "impressionnant " , just a couple of weeks ago this tune from kevin ayers came back on my brain , and i jumped on the net to see if there was any clue . Of course there were...
so i must tell you that i never listened to PATTO or BOXER and sure i am going to do it , right now.
I was visiting some dudes the first time i heard him, i think it impressed me as much as Jimi Hendrix, i bought the kevin ayers LP just for listening this guitar over & over, and keep the name in my mind...Unfortunately no one knew him. I think he paved my brain in a way that the first i heard Mr FORD it was like a second chapter opened.
Have a great time in Europe.
Blob.
