For all the gearheads out there! Celestion U.K. has decided to take the G12-65 back into production. It is available in their Heritage serie. These speakers have the original "Rola Celestion" sticker on the back and are available in 8 and 15 ohms. Anyone on the board interested in a pair of original G12-65's? I have a pair of vintage (mid 80's) 8 ohm G12-65s that I'm selling. If the speakers where 15/16 ohm I would keep them but I'm building a 2x12 8 ohm cabinet and I can't make two 8's into 8 ohm cab. So I've ordered a Vintage 30 and a G12H both at 16 ohm as replacements. Email me if you are interested at pauldehorn@comcast.net. Thanks.

On the subject of speakers, I was cruising through a particular amplifier mfg'er's forum, and there was a discussion about Weber Beam Blockers, and the overwhelming response was how great they are and how they tend to blend frequencies and more evenly disperse sound. Everyone who tried them were ecstatic about the results. There was also a reference to Stevie Ray Vaughan and how he used to place duct tape across the center of his speakers to achieve the same effect....
Any thoughts on this? Anyone here installed beam blockers across their speakers? If they work so well, why don't all amp and speaker cab makers install them as standard equipment, or at least offer them as an option? Just wondering...
