I am relatively new to the Board, but I can't help but gush over Robin's playing. He is so amazing.
Wouldn't it be awesome for Robin to expand his musical tastes to play other styles? I really like grunge, and it would be interesting to hear Robin play some Nirvana songs. I don't know if he could really connect like Kurt Cobain did, but it would be great to find out! |

Robben. And, yes, he is amazing.
As far as him playing grunge a la Cobain, that is an interesting thought, but don't hold your breath. But, you never know, things happen, which is why I'm not a betting guy. And, why I don't hold my breath either...
Welcome to the board! And, have some fun here... |

He did a Kiss album some years ago, and I guess they asked him to join the band. |

This is a bit off topic, but speaking of a Nirvana cover… check out Charlie Hunter's version of "Come as You Are." Now remember he's playing the bass and guitar at the same time - just awesome. I would love to see a Robben and Charlie collaboration.

Wasn't he in Mott the Hoople. Did a great cover of David Bowie's "All the Young Dudes". Where can I pick up a copy of "Come as you are"? |

The Mott the Hoople Hunter is Ian Hunter. _________________ "Creativeness often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Did you know that right and left shoes were only thought up a little more than a century ago?" - Bernice Fitz-Gibbon 1894-1982 |
