Cool Even though today's Thanksgiving Day is a U.S. holiday (lots of other countries do it earlier, when the weather's nicer .... i.e., weather you'd give thanks for), a very happy Thanksgiving to everyone on this BBS, all over the world.

Lots to be thankful for all of the time. Like this board and all of the great folks that contribute ideas, questions, rants, reviews, and just plain fun stories.

Right now on the CD player something new to give thanks for: Michael Landau and his amazing guitar work on "In The Bleak Midwinter" on James Taylor's "At Christmas" CD. Nice stuff on the whole CD, but if you can get through listening to "In The Bleak ..." without getting just a little bit teary and sentimental, you're tougher-skinned than I am. (Until I heard this version, I thought that Shawn Colvin had taken the tune about as far as it could go.)

While we're at it, how about a thanks for the wonderful life of the late Bill Schultz, and all that he did to save Fender and keep it more than alive. And the great life of Ruth Brown. And even more thanks that from time to time we remember to honor people while they're still with us.

Wherever you are today, with friends, with family, on the road, playing a gig somewhere, maybe even by yourself, and whether it's turkey, or tufu or just a peanut butter sandwich and back to work: Have a wonderful and thankful day.
