ye loved this track - could anyone please tell me what cd is it on ??
It was a privilege to catch the show in Birkenhead, not L/A
but its great to see this kind of raw quality in the flesh in our backyard. |

It's "Freedom" from Robben's "Tiger Walk" CD. He didn't play this at the Nottingham gig, but I suppose you can't have everything!!
This instrumental & CD are probably my favourite CD of Robben's. I believe it to be one of Robben's favourite instrumental's too! It's quite a funky grooved CD, leaning more to his jazz influence than most of his blues orientated work, which I also love! Check out the great keyboard player on the CD version. Other personal favs from this CD are Tiger Walk, Ghosts, In the beginning & I can't stand the rain (OK, the're all bl**dy excellent ). I think another similar CD would be great, so come on Robben, get down and funky once again
All the best,

I was at the Mean Fiddler that night! great track especially the monster riff in the middle.
Great album Tiger Walk. The only bad thin about it is the cover where Robben appears to be wearing eye shadow!!
I believe the guitar is some very expensive hand crafted "Les Paul style"
made in Japan from some fancy rare wood _________________ the older I get the better I was |

Sorry Filmore, this is from Daved earlier in the UK tour:
"He has his '57 goldtop LP out here, along with a brand new Sakashta "NeuPaul" that I picked up on the way to the airport. Robben is very happy with the way it feels and sounds"
I was also at the Mean Fiddler, what a show and Gary and Mel were "grooving like the proverbial mothers".
FWIW I prefered the Sakashta tone to the Goldtop. |
