OK, all you Brits, I have a request.

I have been a Wallace & Gromit fan for about 25 years and a penquin fan for about 50+.
Two of my favorite T-shirts are the one with the wanted poster of Feathers McGraw with the rubber glove on his head stating "Have you seen this chicken", and the one with the scene of Feathers holding Wallace & Gromit at bay with a gun as they stand with their arms up in the air, both from the "Wrong Trousers" film.
Both of my shirts are so old, worn, and fragile that, tho I wish I could, I just can't wear either of them anymore. They cannot be found anywhere in the States and are so long out of print that they're probably no longer available even in the UK.

BUT, if any of you who will be attending one of Robben's shows can find either or both of them anywhere, in an XL size or larger, and can get them to me, I would be very happy to buy them from you.

My quest is on and I've asked our support act to keep their eyes open too, but I really won't have much time myself to hunt while we're here.

Thanx to anyone who can help me out.

re: a penguin fan...

Reminds me of one of my favorite Monty Python tv show skits... "There's a penguin on the tele!" Laughing

Daved,

ah, yes, Wallace & Grommit. One of our better exports of recent years!!!! The whole family loves these charater's, especially my two young boys.

I'll give it my best shot!! What would help matters is if you could possibly give me information off the t-shirt tag, referring to who has printed them. That way I could contact the printers direct; I will also do is contact Aardman on your behalf and see what they can do. If you could take a snap of the actual t-shirts you have, for ensuring I get the correct ones, I will forward this on.

If I can't get them in time for the 14th, I will send them on to your specified address.

Cheers,

DD

My t-shirt has since gone the same way, but if you don't have any luck finding a new one, let me know... I still have a A2 promo poster for the film - of the WANTED poster - which is potentially up for scanning (i.e. to print to one of those inkjet iron-on-transfer sheets).

Cool

Thanx for the response, everyone.

The tees are at home, of course, (where I will not be until the xmas tour break), but I can check the additional info at that point if necessary.

Thanx again for your help.... (fingers crossed).

Heya Daved,

Hope the tour's going great Smile

I'll be coming to see the show this Friday at our local venue the 'Cheese and Grain' in Frome (which doesn't have the best acoustics but it's an absolute godsend for us as it's only 10 minutes away!).

Can't promise any tees though... :P

Have fun,

Alex.

Hey Daved,
Is this one of the ones you're looking for?:
item # 260072492646 on our favorite auction site (not sure if I'm allowed to link to auction listings here or not)

I can't tell if the thing in that pic is a gun, or a spotlight, or a camera, or something else, but W & G do have their hands in the air. Anyway, it's only a Large, so it might not work for ya'

Cheers,
Bert

Bert,

Thanx for the post. Sorry for the delayed response but somehow the roller coaster never slowed down...

Anyway, I looked but couldn't find that auction listing. I just checked my 'retired' shirt and I see that it is actually an XL. Possibly a large might have fit (I'm working at getting back to my more youthful weight, when things like "large" actually fit me... Laughing Being in love will make a man do things like that, ya know. Embarassed It's a slow process but I AM seeing positive results... hopefully SHE notices, too Wink ).

Anyway, I appreciate your post. Most kind. It sounds like that was the one I am looking for. It is the only scene I know of wherein W&G have their hands in the air as Feathers McGraw threatens them.

You just gotta luv a penquin with a gun! Wink

Thanx again, Bert.
