Well, perhaps "cold spell" is a bit of an understatement from what we in the U.K. have seen on news reports. I saw that it's snowed in Malibu, Texas has been hard-hit with Dallas and Houston airports closed ... I was just wondering how you guys over there are faring. Hope everyone's OK, although with reports of widespread power cuts I imagine a few won't be able to read this just yet ... No freezing rain over here in the U.K., but yesterday 10 people died in the high winds, some with gusts up to 100 mph, and Europe's getting some stick too. (Yesterday I saw a hen lay the same 5 times ) _________________ "Creativeness often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Well, speaking for us northeasterners, it's been an extremely mild winter to date. Typically by now, we should've experienced at least 2-3 major snow storms. So far, only two "dustings". And, opinions around here are split- some are glad that the white stuff has stayed away, while others are disappointed. Personally, I expect the snow and the inconveniences it brings, but I can't actually say that I miss it that much. However, I wouldn't mind at least one or two major snowfalls to bring Nature back in balance, and to have a couple of "snow days" off from work...
Tomorrow (Saturday), actually starting overnight, we're expecting some severe winds (but no snow!). I'm concerned about the many older trees losing limbs around my small property. We'll see what happens...
